Just 300 m from the Colosseum, it offers ittypical Roman dishes. The tonnarelli cacio e pepe is excellent, but the coda alla vaccinara is a dream. The service is typical Roman, friendly and easygoing. I'll be back.

Taverna dei Quaranta is definitely one of the trattorias where I had the best Amatriciana and a super tiramisu, the raw materials are a great combination of quality and price. In addition, it is a unique place a stone's throw from the Colosseum, easy to reach even by transportation. The owner is very courteous and friendly.... A stone's throw from the Colosseum on Via Claudia, Taverna dei 40 is a true Roman trattoria with excellent traditional dishes and more, good desserts too, friendly and helpful service. When we are around there we always like to go back. Fair prices, highly recommended.
