Once upon a time there were Romans...<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

They had a taste for food and liked to eat together.<\/p>\n

Now the foodie Romans have been joined by many Italian and foreign guests. But they all do the same thing: they go around beautiful Rome and then go to \"magn\u00e0<\/em><\/strong>\". And because Rome means Colosseum there they are. They walk around then go inside admire and then they get hungry.<\/p>\n

At this point they look around, take the road to Villa Celimontana, take a look at the Caelian, say ... \"how beautiful you are Rome!<\/em>\" They plan a visit to the Imperial Fora, another Roman wonder. Then they take a tour of downtown.<\/p>\n

But now they feel like stopping, gaining strength, eating something good, Roman, genuine stuff.<\/p>\n

And here is the appearance:\u00a0La Taverna dei Quaranta. <\/strong>And they say to themselves, \"If 40 people went there, we can go there too.\"<\/p>\n

So they come in, sit down, and there the magical encounter happens: golden yellow tagliatelle, spaghetti with tomato sauce, spaghetti alla grigia, carbonara, cacio e pepe, oil garlic and chili. Fragrant pizzas of all kinds come out of the wood-fired oven, we stop here.<\/p>\n

And as they think of the Colosseum, the Imperial Forum, and the Villa Celimontana, they wonder, \"But who were the forty? Foodies, friends, or like us hungry tourists?\"<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

La Taverna dei Quaranta<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The trattoria was founded in 1981 when forty friends, united by cultural and political interests, formed a cooperative to start and be a landmark in the Celio neighborhood and took over the previous business.<\/p>\n

At the trattoria customers met to talk politics, organize cultural activities, eat and promote Roman and regional cuisine. Giuseppe, Antonio and Lucia carried on this tradition by always offering traditional Roman dishes at the table as well as a few typical dishes from their homeland.<\/p>\n

Today the environment is cozy and informal, a splendid dehor from where you can enjoy the view of the Colosseum, the Servian Wall, and Caelian Square.<\/p>\n

The cuisine is traditional Roman and boasts careful execution of the oldest recipes.<\/p>\n

Historic restaurant in the center of Rome located a stone's throw from the Colosseum where you can find excellent Roman cuisine, wood-fired oven pizza and more.<\/p>\n

Local restaurant with high vaulted ceiling and terrace, where you can enjoy pizzas, appetizers and hearty Roman dishes.<\/p>\n
